Gaisano-led Metro Retail Stores Group Inc. is opening a Metro Supermarket in Lapu-Lapu City, making it the third Metro store to open its doors to consumers in the highly urbanized city.

The new Metro Supermarket is located at LG Garden Walk Mactan on M.L. Quezon Highway, boasting 1,067 sq.m of floor area: The store provides great selections of vegetables, fruits, and delicatessen, seafood, chicken, and meat;  Asian, Western, and local staples; home and personal essentials, and a curated range of general merchandise items.

The opening of the Metro Supermarket LG Garden Walk Mactan is the 61st store and is part of MRSGI’s aggressive expansion plans to serve more customers with its kind of branded customer experience that is well-loved.

The other Metro stores in Lapu-Lapu — Super Metro Lapu-Lapu is located in Poblacion to serve a consumer base living in the city proper; while Metro Supermarket in Shangs Mactan is for residents and shoppers in the resorts area.

Opening Treats

In celebration of its opening, Metro Super Market LG Garden Walk is giving away free MRC/MBC membership until August 31 to those who want to become members of the Metro Rewards Program. To register, just approach the Customer Service Booth. MRC and MBC members are entitled to exclusive gifts, discounts, and promotions whole year round.

On opening day, MRC and MBC members can take home their choice of 1kg Rice, 1L Savers Select Dishwashing Liquid, or 1.5L Coke, Sprite, or Royal for a minimum purchase of PhP1,000. To be fair to everyone, only one redemption of item is allowed per day and split transactions are not qualified.

Shoppers should also look out for the 1.) Piso Deal promo wherein a shopper with a minimum PhP2,000 single-receipt purchase of any Fresh and Frozen products, will get 2-pieces Chicken Leg Quarter for only one piso. 2.) Budget Savers, if you buy one sack of Ganador Rice 25kg, you will get free 3 kg of Ganador Rice for free!
