Cheryl Edeline C. Ong is the Corporate Secretary of Metro Retail Stores Group, Inc. (MRSGI). Concurrently, she is a Partner at Santos Ong Marbas & Co. Law Office.

A dual-qualified Lawyer and Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Atty. Ong brings over 18 years of expertise in tax advisory and controversy, tax incentive optimization, corporate restructuring, tax policy, M&A, and cross-border transactions. She specializes in business tax services for companies across the manufacturing, BPO, hospitality, power, and real estate sectors.

Prior to her current roles, Atty. Ong held key leadership positions at SGV & Co., serving as Tax Partner (2015–2025), Head of the SGV Cebu Office (2015–2021), among others.

Atty. Ong graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from the University of San Carlos and earned her Bachelor of Laws, cum laude, from the University of Cebu. She has further completed the Executive Education Program at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania (2015) and the Leading Professional Service Firms at Harvard Business School (2022).
