Kareen A. Tablizo is the Vice President for Corporate Planning of Metro Retail Stores Group, Inc. She was previously the Group Internal Audit Head of Vicsal Development Corporation and its group of subsidiaries, which include MRSGI, Taft Properties Development Corporation and subsidiaries, AB Capital Trust and Securities, Pacific Mall Corporation, and other businesses in the Food & Beverage, Microfinance and Logistics sectors.

Prior to joining the Vicsal Group, she was Director of Assurance and External Audit at Sycip Gorres Velayo & Company, where she handled annual financial audits of listed and private companies both local and subsidiaries of foreign multinational firms.

A certified public accountant, Tablizo possesses an in depth knowledge and experience in International Auditing Standards, process improvement, and project management. She is a member of Accounting Standards Group of SGV specializing in International Financial Reporting Standards (IRFS) for Small and Medium Sized Entities and is a regular speaker in Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) and SGV Public Seminars on the implementation of IFRS for SMEs.

Tablizo completed her Bachelor of Science in Accountancy at the University of Santo Tomas, and obtained her Master’s Degree at Regis, Business Administration and Management, Ateneo de Manila University.
