HGuiteringHermar Guitering is the Vice President for Supply Chain of Metro Retail Stores Group, Inc.(MRSGI). As the head of the division, he is in-charge of overseeing all crucial aspects of the supply chain processes of the company.

He is a seasoned executive highly skilled in warehouse and logistics management, production and inventory planning, outsourcing, procurement, ERP systems, customer service and inventory control.

Guitering has held managerial and executive positions in respected retail companies with strong local, regional and global operations.

Under the Swedish multinational clothing-retail company, Hennes & Mauritz (H&M), Guitering first served as the Distribution Centre Manager during its Philippine entry. He was later entrusted to manage the retail and online distribution centres of Taiwan, China and Japan as H&M's Global Logistics Auditor. Through his successful execution, he was promoted as Logistics Manager for South East Asia and was responsible for providing overall direction, leadership and management of H&M South East Asia Logistics Distribution Centre, with the aim of maximizing profitability, accuracy, quality, efficiency and sustainability of H&M’s business success across Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines and Vietnam.

Earlier in his career, he worked as a Supply Chain Manager at Primer Int'l. Holdings Mgmt. Inc. (Primer Group),a recognized distributor of leading global lifestyle brands in travel, fashion, wellness and more. There he led the implementation of key projects to improve the service levels for planned business expansions at local and regional levels.

Guitering also acted as the Supply Chain Manager at Expressions Stationery Shop, Inc. where he championed planning and procurement as well as warehousing and logistics. He was also affiliated with Hayakawa Electronics Philippines Corporation, where he was an Account Officer.

Guitering has a degree in Bachelor of Science in Engineering Major in Industrial Engineering, completed at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines. He likewise holds an Executive Development Program Diploma on Supply Chain from the Ateneo de Manila University – Graduate School of Business.
