Complementing the free checkups and testing services for common forms of adult ailments like hypertension and diabetes were the distribution of vitamins and flu medications for children and senior citizens. The medical mission is in line with MRSGI’s continuing corporate social responsibility program to be of assistance to its host communities and neighboring areas.

“As with any community programs that we implement, we aim to improve the quality of life of the people we serve,” says Anna Marie Periquet, MRSGI vice president for corporate affairs.

Medical professionals from Red Cross Valenzuela chapter joined volunteers from MRSGI’s ancillary business Metro Pharmacy and brand partner RiteMED in servicing the medical needs of individuals and families. The project, together with Anonas LRT Property and Development Corporation, also involved the participation of Hisamitsu Pharmaceutical Co., makers of Salonpas; Philippine Blue Cross Biotech Corporation; and Aldrtz Corporation, makers of Pau Liniment.
