Metro Hanepbuhay Anihan Bazaar

Holiday shopping is made more meaningful this season with the launch of the Metro Hanepbuhay Anihan Bazaar.

The bazaar showcases innovative, high-quality products from various social enterprises and communities. Products include spices and novelty items made by young adults with special needs, artisanal chocolates from cacao farmers in Davao, premium tea produced by women in relocation villages in Laguna, original Filipino handcrafted beverages, gourmet deli products and many more. Each product comes with a unique story, be it of Filipino ingenuity, the resilience of communities, or the talents of people who are different, but not less.

The bazaar runs on all weekends from October 13 to December 17, 2017 at Metro Supermarket in Market! Market! Taguig City.

The Metro Hanepbuhay Anihan Bazaar is made possible by a partnership between Metro Retail Stores Group, Inc. (MRSGI), and Unilab Foundation, Inc. (ULF), through its programs, Anihan and Project Inclusion.

Anihan is ULF’s social enterprise and resource mobilization arm, supporting social enterprises from the communities of the foundation’s programs, and finding channels to market their products. Project Inclusion provides PWDs with access to gainful employment by matching skills with appropriate work situations.

For the Hanepbuhay Bazaar, two partner schools of Project Inclusion showcase their products.

Shine Special Education Center, a school for individuals with special needs and exceptionalities, is selling special herbs and spices by Shine Kitchen Helpers.

The Learning Center provides Special Education programs, from early intervention to adult vocational courses. For the bazaar, they are selling coasters and keychains made of beads, wooden displays, and notebooks by TLC Novettes.

The Bazaar also features products from Roots Katipunan, a hub and community of more than 50 Filipino social entrepreneurs.

Christmas shoppers and conscious consumers are invited to visit the bazaar and to help build a healthier, more inclusive Philippines – one meaningful gift at a time.
