Metro Retail Stores joins Vicsal Foundation in celebrating the success of the Class of 2024 Scholars

 Metro Retail Stores Group Inc. (MRSGI) proudly joins Vicsal Foundation, Incorporated (VSF), in celebrating the remarkable achievements of its Class of 2024 scholars. The recent graduation event was filled with pride and excitement as 17 scholars from the academic year 2023-2024 were recognized for their dedication and hard work.

Among this year’s graduates, 11 stood out with Latin honors — 3 Magna Cum Laude and 8 Cum Laude. Their accomplishments are a testament to their resilience and to VSF’s commitment to providing opportunities for education. These scholars have shown that, with the right support, great things can be achieved.

Since the VSF Scholarship Program began in 2007, 241 scholars have completed their college education through the foundation’s support, with an impressive 158 graduating with honors. This year’s graduation celebration highlights the foundation’s ongoing efforts to unlock potential and open doors for talented, hardworking students.

Looking ahead, the excitement continues as VSF welcomes a new batch of scholars for the academic year 2024-2025. 65 students have been awarded scholarships to pursue their studies at some of the country’s top universities, including the University of San Carlos, University of San Jose Recoletos, Cebu Normal University, University of the Philippines, and Cebu Institute of Technology - University. Among them, 25 are new scholars who were selected from over 1,000 applicants.

The festive atmosphere of the graduation celebration was a reminder of the bright futures ahead for these students. As they move forward, VSF and MRSGI remain committed to supporting even more scholars, helping them reach new heights, and inspiring the next generation of leaders.
